Research

In this section we describe the research that was conducted in the context of the project. Starting off with a statement on the project objectives, we proceed to elaborate on the definitions for various project concepts the Halifax Research Team developed. Subsequently, we provide the background information documents as well as the training documents that the Team developed for the training of Local Coordinators and Local Reference Group Members. Details on the three stages of the research process are provided, followed by our analysis of findings from the multiple research instruments that were used. The section concludes with a statement on research and public education, the twin aspects of this project.
